Just finished re-playing the last quarter of the Fate of Atlantis DLC and I just have to shout into the void how much I hate the ending. I’d truly forgotten how bad it is.
Fighting the giant hit sponge monster and the repulsive popping bodies is not fun. It’s gross and a bad time. I feel a bit sick.
The whole ‘you can’t kill Aita and Juno that’s would be cruel - so we’re going to wipe out Atlantis entirely instead’ is so stupidly stupid there aren’t words.
The whole premise that they’re in a simulation in the first place is stupid and makes bugger all sense.
All the modern day stuff is boring and pointless. I don’t like Layla. I don’t care about her knocking Victoria on the head. I *hate* Aleithia. I don’t know why I’m supposed to give a shit about any of them or the flimsy-ass plot they have going on. Why is this trash even here??
No wonder it was the only incomplete part on this 195 hour save file.

So since I finished the Torment of Hades portion of the dlc, I'm going to go ahead and say I liked it. I really like Hades as a character, the Underwirld part was cool, fighting the 4 fallen heros to guard the gates was nice (though I'm surprised Herakles, or really any of them, were trapped in the Underwotld...), and helping Charon was fun.
Im glad Phoibe got a sort of closure arc, and I love that the Cyclops is still tormented by goats lol. And adding in that killing that goat from the cutscene got you 'cyclops other eye' gave me a good laugh.
What I really liked, however, was that the new area was long enough to be fun but not overly big like Elysium felt.
Odyssey as a base game is too large, the first dlc with Darius and Natakas wasn't overly fun and too long imo for what the story told, and then Elysium was a whole new map to explore and felt too large for what you had to do for the story.
I think the Underworld portion was a good balance of both. Plenty to do but with a map that was neither too small nor overly large.
Looking at Atlantis... oh boy does it look big.

AC Odyssey and AC Valhalla
This is strictly my opinion
Ac Odyssey and Valhalla haven't been very appreciated by the large public because they aren't a real Assassin's creed games.
They revealed us the history of the ISU with a splash of the war between Assassins and Templars.
In AC Odyssey the Assassins, or the hidden ones, aren't even born yet. Yes, there is a conflict between Kassandra and the Order of Ancients but I didn't feel like I was playing an AC game. With the first DLC, "The legacy of the first blade", we have a strong connection with Origins. The DLC, The Fate of Atlantis, revealed us the real purpose of the protagonist that is always linked to the ISU (and to Loki's plan)
In AC Valhalla, the conflict between the hidden ones and the Order is almost on the background because the real purpose of the game, and DLC, is to tell us the history of the norse ISU clan, how they tried to survive the Toba's catastrophe (Spoiler they didn't succeed because the seventh method was incomplete) and, the great conflict between Havi and Loki (two sick bastards).
Let's be honest, AC Mirage also is about the ISU.
Then Ubisoft really fuxked because the choice of the sex of the main characters the most stupid thing to do, especially when it has been revealed that the main characters were females in both games.

Starfield spoilers but you know what I'd kill for in the DLC
There are two big things I'd love. 1. Va'ruun. Obviously. The embassy is there so it's likely they're gonna show up, and also their WHOLE ASS HOME PLANET isn't in the game yet so. I hope we get a real serpent. I hope that the serpent is either a legit fucking big scary beast or that the Va'ruun leader is a Starborn
SPEAKING OF, you know what I'd kill for? An endgame story quest. You make it through your tenth run, you have a maxed out Starborn ship, armor, X level powers. And then you find other Starborn do too. They're at the apex of their power, just like you. The Hunter and Emmissary are back, as per usual, but there's so many MORE Starborn now. You all keep going back, and that means universes are absolutely full of Starborn.
So there's war. The Hunter and Emmissary are like, opposing and hesitant generals, neither wants to LEAD really but people follow them - maybe a lot of Yous, or Thems, or Constellation members - and they feel obliged to not leave them behind.
And so now there's REAL stakes. The universe torn asunder. Entire cities under new martial law by superpowered time traveling freaks. The UC and Freestar in shambles trying to deal with this new threat to their world.
The option to cut everyone in the current universe off from Unity FOREVER - yourself included! - in an attempt to stop these newly powerful armies from moving forward.
Maybe you get a set of Constellation companions who have seen it all. A Sarah who loved you and watched you die, and ventured into the black to find another you. A Sam who lost his little girl, and a version of his daughter - all grown up - who lost her daddy. Andreja, fully realized, a Va'ruun badass with deadly powers. Maybe Barrett found his husband, and wants to make this universe good for him, somewhere they could live in peace. Fuck, maybe Matteo, Walter, and Vladimir took the plunge, maybe you have their fully realized versions, too.
A final confrontation with fate and destiny. One last hurrah. Rather than the simple question of Hunter v Emmissary your first go-around, you now have to truly reconcile with eternity. Is it right to let these people flow out into every universe? Is it right to keep them here when they've touched infinity? Is it right for the people of this universe to damn them to being in a universal terrarium with the Starborn?
Maybe if you play it right, the Starborn get their own cluster of planets like the UC/Freestar. Maybe they get an embassy in New Atlantis, and people are offered the opportunity to touch the same powers that the Starborn had. Maybe there's even post-ending quests where you can see how the factions interact with each other.
Also permanent Hunter/Emmissary companions, fully romancable. This Emmissary is you, so you dont have to figure out randomly which Constellation member it is, also you can fuck yourself. I just really wanna fuck the Hunter okay I really wanna kiss that dirty old man.
Man idfk!!!! Starfield feels like the prologue to such a cool story and we never get there
EDIT: SECRET FINAL BOSS IS THE VERSION OF YOU IN UNITY, THEY'RE INFINITY INCARNATE AND THEY'RE MAD YOU'RE TRYING TO SEAL OFF UNITY AND ALSO WE GET A BRIEF GLIMPSE AT WHO MADE THE ARTIFACTS

Alexios my beloved! I also played as him <33
Did you play the DLC's as well? Those were fun 😌🫶
And Valhalla is amazing!! I totally recommend it, it's a little different but SO GOOOOOD ❤️❤️❤️ I love the Norse mythology and viking history ❤️
Heyy! And Alexios is honestly so good and i don't know why people were not liking him? And the romance he had with the other guys made it good as well. He was ao expressive.
And I am currently playing the Fate of Atlantis. In the Hades realm rn and it is so different from Elysium. That place was so beautiful and Hell is well.... Hell. I loved Elysium btw. It was all too beautiful.
And I have Valhalla on my list. Just have to finish this game completely first to move on to the next ones.
Thanks for this ask!!

I decided to put a pause on the Fate of Atlantis dlc questline for now and do the Legacy one instead, because if most people I've seen have liked it less than Atlantis, I'm going to trust the community notes here and save the better one for last (and then the best one, Korfu, for real last)
that being said, Natakas is cute and kind, so obviously this is all going to implode in my face

Finally got to the Fate of Atlantis DLC on my Odyssey playthrough, and the fact that I can't flirt with either of the morally grey and extremely beautiful Isu women is a crime

started Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey again with the intention of trying to finish Legacy of the First Blade so I can progress to the DLC that actually interests me, which is the Fate of Atlantis...
but fuck, I forgot how much I hated the LotB story and the way it treated my Kassandra. I fucking HATE the mandatory romance and the mandatory child. I felt so betrayed last time I played, I just quit the game cold turkey. I would like to finish the game, but I still don't know if I can stomach going through the “uwu Kassandra has a baaaabyyyyy” parts.

As a premier Kassandra enjoyer I have a question for you. I’ve been going through odyssey for the first time, and am rapidly approaching dlc territory. I’m not sure if I want to get the Legends of the first blade dlc. On the one hand, more Kassandra, on the other hand, a weird baby plot line.
I don’t know if you ended up playing it, or if you even have strong opinions on it, but I thought I would do a quality check before committing money to it. Is it worth buying despite being Like That?
Have a cool day, and continue having good taste in fictional women.
Hi sweetie! So I bought the Fates of Atlantis DLC and thought it was absolutely incredible, but I flat out refused to buy LotFB out of principle.
While I have not participated in or watched gameplay of that DLC, I do know that the baby plotline completely erases any autonomy the player previously had in Kassandra's sexual orientation, by forcing the playable character into a relationship with someone of the opposite gender/sex. That and the handling of the baby after Kassandra endured, well, pregnancy, is completely uncharacteristic. This was enough to dissuade me from getting it.
From the Steam reviews I've read (the current positive to negative ratio is 615:944 as it stands, which is indicative of something) apparently this isn't the only disappointing and forced element to the narrative, either. Most reviews that don't focus on the forced relationship talk about how the hours you spend playing it feel inconsequential, and that the overarching plotline is derailed and contradicts/invalidates the base game's story. As for the positive reviews I've read, the ones that aren't blatantly homophobic towards people who didn't enjoy it don't detail anything of note that made the experience enjoyable for them. This doesn't invalidate their experience of course, but it also doesn't present a compelling reason to buy it, you know?
I think if you're intrigued by the storyline but wary of the commonly criticised elements, it would be safest finding a let's-play on Youtube rather than spending your money on it. Completely up to you, though. Have a lovely day yourself, and likewise, your taste in fictional women is top-notch <3
